CARAMELISED MUSHROOMS WITH BALSAMIC GLAZE
This dish can be used for snacking or as a side dish, either way the taste will blow your mind! Quartered brown mushrooms are baked together with fresh shallot. By adding some brown sugar the mushrooms will start caramelizing. Add the balsamic glaze and fresh thyme for a true taste explosion.
Recipe
1. Clean the chestnut mushrooms.
2. Peel the shallot, halve and cut into half rings.
3. Heat the (olive) oil in a frying pan and fry the chestnut mushrooms for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
4. Then add the shallot and fry on medium-high heat for 2 minutes.
5. Strain the thyme and chop finely.
6. Add the (bastard) sugar, dosette of balsamic dressing and the finely chopped thyme and fry for another 3-4 minutes over medium-high heat until the mushrooms are nicely glazed.
7. Season as desired and enjoy!
